Patio cover companies in the Las Vegas valley

This page does not rank anyone and does not carry star ratings. Here is who operates in this market, what we could actually observe about each, and how to check any of them yourself in about two minutes.

Updated 2 August 2026 · Sources verified 2026-08-02 · Independent research, not a contractor

As of August 2026 we have identified thirteen distinct, independently operating patio cover and awning companies serving the Las Vegas valley, listed below without ranking or ratings. Before hiring any of them, verify the licence number and its monetary limit at the Nevada State Contractors Board, run the Board's separate disciplinary actions search, and make any deposit cheque payable to the exact licensed business name.

How to read this list, and what it is not

Most "best of" pages for local trades are one of two things: a directory selling placement, or a single company's page dressed up as a comparison. This is neither, so it is worth being precise about what it actually is.

What we did. We identified companies with a genuine, independent presence in this market, grouped them by an observable characteristic, and wrote down only what we could see for ourselves.

What we did not do.

  • We did not rank them. We have no basis to. We have not stood under their work, interviewed their customers, or inspected a single installation.
  • We did not republish star ratings or review counts. Directory ratings go stale, we did not collect them, and reprinting a number we cannot stand behind would make this page look more authoritative than it is.
  • We did not verify anyone's licence. Nobody on this page is described as licensed or insured, because we have not checked. The section below shows you how to check in about two minutes, which is genuinely more useful than us doing it once and letting it go stale.
  • Nobody paid to be here, and inclusion is not endorsement. Two of the companies below are our direct competitors for search traffic. They are listed anyway, because leaving them out would make this list less honest, not more.

Companies that publish real detail about their work

Worth its own group, because it is a genuinely useful signal. A company willing to publish dated pricing, sizes and material comparisons is a company willing to be held to something. Both of these compete with us directly.

Company What we observed
Patio Cover Concepts Maintains the most active cost-content library aimed at this market, including dated Las Vegas and size-specific pricing pages and, more recently, Henderson pages. Publishes a blended $4,000–$12,000 installed range for Las Vegas, though their own detail pages quote above that ceiling.
Ultra Patios Publishes per-square-foot pricing for the valley — one of only two local companies we found that does — along with comparison posts and a Henderson-specific piece. Lists eleven service-area neighbourhoods.

Long-established valley operators

Company What we observed
City Seamless Patio Covers Awnings, carports and RV covers. Company site references operating since 1976, the longest tenure claim we encountered in this market.
Ace Patio Covers Established site with valley-wide positioning.
American Builders LV Maintains a dedicated Las Vegas patio cover product page.
Palatial Patio Covers Maintains a dedicated Las Vegas patio covers page.
Princess Patios Listed local operator; publishes at least one materials-focused article.
JV's Patio Covers Listed local operator.
Koda Patios, LLC Listed local operator.
Proficient Patios Valley-wide positioning.

Awning and shade specialists

Worth separating because the trade overlaps but is not identical. If you want a retractable awning, a shade sail or an RV cover rather than a structural patio roof, these are the companies positioned for it.

Company What we observed
Sunshield Awning Company, Inc. Awning specialist listed for this service area.
SunBlockers Awning Company Dedicated Las Vegas awning and patio cover site.
Las Vegas Outdoor Shade Shade-structure positioning for the valley.
On the bigger directories. One national directory lists over a hundred contractors for this service in Las Vegas. That number includes general contractors and handyman services alongside dedicated patio specialists, which is why our list is thirteen rather than a hundred. Neither number tells you anything about quality.

Verify before you hire — this is the part that matters

This trade produced a documented Nevada fraud case in 2025 serious enough for the state licensing board to publish a consumer alert: a company whose licence was revoked in March 2025, with 40 complaints and over $137,000 collected in down payments for work never performed. A second, unrelated local shade-structure fraud case ended in a guilty plea the same year.

The two-minute check, on any company here or anywhere else:

  1. Ask for the exact licensed business name and licence number in writing. Nevada law requires them in all advertising, so this should be trivial.
  2. Search the Board's licence lookup by number, and confirm the name matches your paperwork exactly and the status is active.
  3. Check the monetary limit on that licence is above your project price. Almost nobody does this.
  4. Run the separate disciplinary actions search. It is a different database from the licence lookup.
  5. Make the deposit cheque payable to the exact licensed entity. A Las Vegas homeowner was denied a Residential Recovery Fund claim because his cheque was written to a trade name instead.
  6. Keep the deposit within the statutory cap: the lesser of $1,000 or 10% of the contract price.

The full walkthrough, including the classification question and what Nevada law requires your contract to contain, is in the contractor vetting guide.

Comparing the bids you get back

Most confusing quote spreads in this trade are not price differences. They are specification differences. Put every bidder on the same footing:

  • Same square footage, stated as length by width.
  • Same style — lattice, solid, or insulated. This one choice roughly doubles the per-square-foot price from bottom to top, so a "cheap" bid may simply be a different product.
  • Same finish specification. Ask which AAMA spec — 2603, 2604 or 2605. The materials guide explains why this is the best single quality question you can ask.
  • Concrete in or out. A new slab is $6 to $9 per square foot, which on a typical patio is comparable to the entire lattice-to-solid upgrade.
  • Permit fees in or out, and whether the submittal is on a standard design or custom. In Henderson that difference is worth roughly $860 to $2,360 — see the Henderson cost page.
  • Electrical in or out if you want fans or lights.

Judge the numbers you get back against the sourced ranges on our valley cost guide.

Common questions

Who are the best patio cover companies in Las Vegas?
We do not rank them, and we would be suspicious of any site that does. What we have done instead is identify thirteen distinct, real, independently operating patio cover and awning companies working in the Las Vegas valley, describe only what we could observe about each, and show you exactly how to check licence status, monetary limit and disciplinary history yourself before you hire any of them.
Why does this list not have star ratings?
Because we did not collect them and we will not republish someone else's. Ratings on directory sites go stale, are not verified by us, and can be gamed. Republishing a number we cannot stand behind would make this page look more authoritative than it deserves to be. The licence lookup and the disciplinary search are checks you can run in two minutes and that actually mean something.
Are these companies licensed?
We have not verified the licence status of any company on this page, and we say so plainly rather than implying otherwise. Nevada law requires all advertising by a licensed contractor to carry the company name and licence number, so ask for it, then check it at the Nevada State Contractors Board licence lookup — and check the monetary limit on the licence covers your project price.
How many patio cover contractors are there in Las Vegas?
One national directory lists over one hundred contractors for this service in the Las Vegas area. We identified thirteen distinct, named, independently operating companies with a real presence in the market — the directory count includes general contractors and handyman services alongside dedicated patio cover specialists.
How many quotes should I get for a patio cover?
Three, from companies quoting the same specification — same square footage, same style, same finish specification, and the same answer on whether concrete and permit fees are included. Most quote spreads in this trade come from comparing different things rather than different prices.
