Get quotes for your patio cover
Tell us what you are planning and we will pass it to independent patio cover contractors working in your jurisdiction. You compare their bids yourself.
Worth doing before you send it
None of this is required and the form works fine without it. But four things make the bids you get back far easier to compare, and all four take about ten minutes:
- Measure the area, even roughly. Almost every price in this trade is quoted per square foot, so a length and a width turns a vague conversation into a number you can check against the cost ranges.
- Work out which jurisdiction you are in. A Las Vegas mailing address does not mean the City of Las Vegas — much of the valley, including the Strip and most of Summerlin, is unincorporated Clark County. The permit guide has the breakdown, and it changes both your fee basis and your paperwork.
- Start the HOA approval now if you have one. It runs on its own timeline, separately from the city, and no Nevada statute puts a deadline on your association's answer. It is also the approval that can make you tear down finished work.
- Read the deposit rule. Nevada caps a residential down payment at the lesser of $1,000 or 10% of the contract price. Knowing that before the first sales visit is worth more than anything else on this site.
Where we cover
Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Spring Valley, Enterprise and the rest of the Clark County valley.
Requests are routed by jurisdiction rather than by mailing address, because the permit process is genuinely different in each of the four — different fee basis, different forms, different inspection scheduling.

Lead capture is not connected on this build. Nothing typed below is sent or stored. This message is intentional — it is here so a real request can never be silently dropped.
Las Vegas Patio Cover Guide is an independent research and referral service operated by AuthenitcBrand, LLC. We are not a licensed contractor, we do not perform construction work, and we do not sell patio covers. When you send a request through this site we pass it to an independent local contractor who is licensed to do the work. Any quote, contract, warranty and workmanship is between you and that contractor. Always verify a contractor's licence, status and monetary limit yourself at nvcontractorsboard.com before signing anything or paying a deposit.
If you would rather call the city yourself
You do not need us for this, and for a straightforward question you will get a faster answer going direct. These are the four valley building departments, with the numbers that actually reach a permit desk.
| Jurisdiction | Covers | Department | Phone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unincorporated Clark County | Summerlin, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Paradise, Winchester, Sunrise Manor | Clark County Department of Building & Fire Prevention | (702) 455-4431 |
| City of Henderson | Anthem, Green Valley, Inspirada, Seven Hills, MacDonald Ranch | Henderson Development Services Center | (702) 267-3620 |
| City of Las Vegas | The city proper — not the Strip, which is unincorporated county | City of Las Vegas Department of Building & Safety | (702) 229-6251 |
| City of North Las Vegas | Aliante, Eldorado, Craig Ranch | North Las Vegas Building Safety | (702) 633-1536 |
Most local articles print the City Hall switchboard as Henderson's permit number. It is not — it is the number in the footer of every page on the city's website. The Henderson permit line is (702) 267-3620, and plan check is a different number again. If you have been sent in circles, that is probably why.
Checking a contractor's licence
This takes about two minutes and it is the single most useful thing you can do before signing anything. The Nevada State Contractors Board publishes a public licence search and a separate disciplinary action search. Check both. Confirm the status is active, confirm the classification covers this work, and confirm the monetary limit on the licence is above your contract price — that last one is real, and almost nobody checks it.
The board can be reached in southern Nevada on (702) 486-1100, and its investigations line is (702) 486-1160. Classification questions go to ClassificationDetermination@nscb.state.nv.us. Our vetting guide walks through the whole check, including the deposit cap and the cheque-name trap that cost one local homeowner a recovery fund claim.
